Volunteer Opportunities

You can volunteer to be a part of the Farmers Market in one of two ways:

First by joining the Farmers Market Committee. You must be a member of the Fern Creek Community Association & Chamber of Commerce to be a committe member. Details for joining as an individual, or an organization, can be found here.
Local residents in the 40291 zip code area can also volunteer to work on Market days. Market day volunteers assist in setting up the Market, greeting Market shoppers and visitors and taking down the Market at the close of a day. Contact us for details!

Sponsorships

A wide variety of Market sponsorships are available for the 2012 Farmers Market season. Sponsorships are available once approved and sponsorship fees have been received. Sponsorships went very quickly in 2011 -- please respond early! All sponsors not only receive their sponsored item, but also receive a text link to their web site (in the table below), and are invited to represent their business/organization on available Market days.

Entertainment

We are "on the hunt" for entertainment for this year's Farmers Market. We're looking for singers, guitar players, bands, mini-orchestras, clowns, marchers, bouncy tents, magicians, animal farms, cooking demonstrations and mmore. If you, someone you know, or a company you're connected to would like to have FREE exposure to the Fern Creek community please contact us about being one of our Farmers Market entertainers. A wide range of dates are available. We can also provide you with electricity for your musical instruments and/or your sound system. Contact us for details!

Special Market Vendor

If you are a local restaurant or food provider you can become one of our Special Market Vendors for a weekend or for several weeks. A Special Market Vendor is a food vendor who comes to the Market on a reserved market day and sells edible goods. Samples, sandwiches, baskets or whole meals can be sold. The fee for a reserved weekend is only $25! This includes electricty connection if needed! Your booth or facility will be featured at the primary parking side of the market. Contact us to reserve your week or weeks!
