09/4/2010 - ADULT DAY CENTER Cordially invites you not to attend its 11th Annual NO SHOW Summer Barbecue This special event will not take place Saturday, September 4, 2010. This special event will not be held anywhere, at any time. You will not enjoy delicious barbecue, cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, soft drinks, and apple pie ala mode. And you will not be treated to Ron's Chesapeake Crab Cakes. Therefore, the entire cost of your ticket is atax deductible donation. All proceeds from this special no-show event will go toward expenses for equipment & programming at the Fern Creek/Highview United Ministries ADULT DAY CENTER Special non-attraction this year will be the non-appearance of Mitch Miller of Sing Along w/ Mitch fame Adult tickets are $10.00, children tickets are $5.00. Leach HUNGER AWARENESS DINNER 7:00 p.m. Saturday September 18, 2010 at Fern Creek United Methodist Church 6727 Bardstown Road, 40291 Adult tickets: $6.00 Children (12 and under) $3.00 Plus a canned protein items (meats). The dinner, held the night before the annual Community Hunger Walk, aims to raise awareness about the increasing level of hunger in our community. The money collected is divided between the Fern Creek Highview United Ministries and the Dare To Care Community Hunger Walk.
